About Registration

As a presenter, if selected, you will be provided up to two tickets, unless you are a business, you will only receive a single ticket. Businesses will have to purchase any additional tickets at standard prices. For businesses that wish to engage in commercial activities outside of their presentation as defined by the "commercial activities" section below, you must become a sponsor. There are no physical or tangible tickets, we will maintain a list of registrations and check you in at the event. Once you purchase your tickets, we will email you a few weeks prior to the event will all the details. Questions can be directed to us at [email protected]

Refund Policy

Comp tickets for presenters have no monetary value and may not be transferred, sold or exchanged. They are contingent upon you presenting your presentation to our quality standards. If you do buy additional tickets, If for some reason you need to cancel your tickets we have a pro-rated ticket refund policy. Refunds must be done this way because of us needing to reserve and pay for the space, items and materials ahead of time to make this event possible. Cancellations 120 or more days before the conference – 50% Less than 120 days or less there are no refunds. Please note if there are any payment processing fees (paypal) involved we are unable to refund those.

Sponsor's Refund Policy

No refunds are available once a company logo has been active on our website. Please contact us beforehand if you have any questions.

Commercial and Marketing Activities

The application to be a speaker, being a speaker, or purchase of a ticket is for a non-commercial attendee ticket. This ticket does not grant permission or license for an individual or company to participate in any commercial or marketing activities to include, but not limited to: distribution of business cards, handouts, brochures, or other marketing materials; also activities to procure new customers or to make attendees aware of products or services. If you are interested in these activities, please contact Ryan Mitchell to upgrade your ticket to a sponsorship at [email protected] Individuals who participate in above activities without a formal sponsorship will be asked to leave the event with no refund.

Wavier

I waive, release and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, the following entities and persons: The Tiny House Conference, The Tiny Life, Ryan Mitchell and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents. I will hold harmless and will not sue or pursue other legal actions against the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. I hereby assume all risks of participating in any or all activities associated with this event, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them or third parties, or because of their possible liability without fault

Photo/Video/digital documents Release

I hereby grant permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital reproduction in any and all of its publications, without payment or any other consideration. I understand and agree that these materials will become the property of Ryan Mitchell, The Tiny Life, Tiny House Conference, Tiny House Craftsman and other related entities or parties and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize the named parties and associated parties to edit, alter, sell, market, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute photos/vidoes for purposes of publicizing the programs or for any other lawful purpose. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties, attributions, or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photographs/videos/content/presentations/etc. This is to include, but not limited to online video courses, ebooks, webinars, as a commercial venture without compensation. The photos and videos taken at the event in some instances may be provided to media if requested, but their use is limited to that single instance and must meet our attribution and web link requirements. We reserve the right to not provide materials to media without stated reason.

Weather

The event will happen rain or shine, while we have large tents and shelters for the presentations, they are still exposed. We’ll keep a fire going all day, but be prepared for what mother nature throws at us.

Parking

We have a good number of spaces but we encourage you to carpool. Parking is may be subject to a fee, the attendee is responsible for that fee.

Pets

Because of the number of people we are expecting we are unable to allow any pets into the event. The only exception to this is active service animals with proper documentation, service animals in training will not be permitted. Pet owners are not allowed to keep their animals in their hotel rooms, in the car, or tied up during the day outside the event.

Accessibility

We will make all attempts to ensure those who need special accommodations are accommodated. There are some unique challenges that come with tiny houses, please contact us directly well in advance to see what we can do. email us at [email protected]

Age of attendees

We will allow children as young as 15 if accompanied by an adult, each will have to purchase a ticket and we do not offer children ticket rates. For those with younger children or infants we are unable to have them in attendance because it could impact the experience of our other attendees. We understand this is an imposition, but we want to ensure a great experience for all.

Alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc

We do not permit drinking or drug use on the premises during the schedule parts of the day. Speakers should not drink before/during their sessions Cigarette smoking is only allowed in designated areas and must be at least 50 feet from any structure, doors, or tents. Please be sure to dispose of your butts in the proper manner, not on the ground.

Financial Responsibilities

We negotiate compensation on a case by case basis. The Tiny House Conference will distribute funds to the speakers, contractors, etc within 60 days after the event. In the event that the Tiny House Conference has incurred costs on behalf of a speaker and the speaker does not show up to the event without a reasonable excuse (as determined by us), that person will be held accountable for those costs. Example: if we buy a plane ticket for a speaker, and then the speaker decides they were going to blow off the event and not show up, they would need to pay back what we couldn't get in a refund from the airline.

Changes & Modifications To This Agreement

In the event an alteration to these terms need to be made, we reserve the right to change these terms at any time without notification. The updated terms will be posted to www.tinyhouseconference.com/legal

Acknowledgement & Agreement

I represent and certify that my true age is either 18 years old or, if I am under 18 years old on this date, my parent or legal guardian has read and signed this form. I have read this entire document, including the release from liability and the photo/video release, fully understand it, and I agree to be legally bound by it. I certify that if this document is collected in an electronic form that my purchase of a ticket to this event or the submission of the form represents my full acknowledgement of this agreement and consider it to be equivalent to a written signature in the enforcement of the above mentioned.
